How to install on a Hard Drive ?
Ok, I got the CD image and the PC boots from it and it seems to work. My PC has a C: drive formatted as FAT and has no OS.
Do I need to have my C drive bootable in Dos ? It currently does not.
What do I need to do to get Jnode installed on the this drive?
Thanks!

Harddrive bootable JNode
Sarge, you can install JNode to a harddrive today and boot jnode from the harddrive. Some steps have to be made by hand till the installer (now under development) will become available.
You can take the current directory and file layout on the bootable CD image as a starting point.
You will need a clean harddrive to install jnode on it with at least one fat32 partion on it located at the beginning of the disk.
The seps for installing jnode are:
- use the grub command from the lates jnode sourcetree too install grub with the following command:
grub /devices//boot/grub/
tipical diskdevices names are hdb, hdc, hdd veryfy the name for your particual jnode instance by looking in the drectory /devices/ .
A tipical partion_devicename is hdb0, right now you can only install jnode on the first partion on the disk. (this will get better soon)
- after grub installation you have to copy the jnode32.jgz and the various .gz files from the root directory of the boot CD partition to the root directory of the jnode installation partion.
After this you are ready to try booting jnode from the hard disk.
