woo hoo!

It's exciting to get started with JNode. But I have no clue how to configure the thing. Firstly, I type in the Dvorak keyboard layout, and my best guesses as to the syntax for locale, or for loadkeys, seems to be not good enough. "US en Dvorak"? There's no list of available layouts! Gar.

use loadkeys command

The JNode command to use is loadkeys.

been there...

I found the loadkeys command, and I found the topic you linked to, but neither one hints at how I might find out what keyboard layouts are available. I finally just searched through the source code. I was trying to be a user, not a developer yet, but maybe that is getting ahead of where JNode is?

For reference, it's "loadkeys dv".

Your mission ... should you choose to accept it ...

is to create a patch to the loadkeys program that will list the available keyboard layouts.

:D

I kinda like that idea. No promises though. I'm not really a developer, and I'd have to poke around to figure out how to even submit a patch. But that's something I'd like to know, so I might.
