hi

booted jnode.iso (latest available for download) in QEMU.

On the shell prompt I just typed 'date' and pressed ENTER key.

The response was !

What is this supposed to mean ?

Then I saw a lot of log scroll by the screen strewn with the word
Panic.

Any help will be appreciated.

Out Of Memory.

Since the GC is not pretty good yet (as Levente mentioned) it is advised to configure Qemu to use lots of memory (400Mb seems ok).

I think the GC got invoked and it failed for some reason.
The GC and the MM is not completely perfect yet.
Try to increase the amount of memory allocated for JNode.
