JNode should only support 32-bit graphics modes. Modes like 16-bit & 24-bit are slow and obsolete.

I do not agree with Polls like that

I do not agree with polls like that. I feel like, the question tries to guide the voter. I don't see a bad intention here, but we must be more cautious.

I like to have more options and also I don't see any arguments about any of the provided options.

For decisions about the design of the OS, it is better to start a thread in our forum, with proposals. After some discussion, we can extract some of the proposals that are well argumented and create the poll. However for such a discussion we need a bigger team of developers and testers and persons that work on JNode, but even if there are few we can use this procedure.

Closing off options

I disagree with this. Should support for 32-bit take priority? Maybe. But, it makes no sense to *only* support 32-bit modes. All that will happen in the long run is to encourage a fork which does support other modes.

No point in older cards

Lets keep things simple where we can, if we need it, we'll add it later (or so agile practice would say).

Almost all hardware, even old stuff now supports 32bit colour... I might have an old ISA card around here that doesn't, but if I find it it's getting tossed... mostly because all the old computers I have around here don't even have ISA slots!

However, a "console" UI would be good to support, maybe an implementation of the JCurses library would be practical.

What's Pappin'n?

I don't feel competent

Sorry, I'm not able to cast my vote on the poll. It's too specific to graphics drivers and I don't have any clue about that topic.
