Microsoft files for patent on modular operating system

Read about it in the article in arstechnica.com, and also the application description in uspto.
It looks like MS applied for a patent of a modular operating system. I think we should check if this may affect JNode. If it does we may have to take any action against it.

They are not the first to propose that. It's said in the article that 'apt' (and all debian/ubuntu) linux distros already do that. And JNode started to implement that from the beginning (many year ago).
At least, I hope that patent doesn't make illegal JNode and linux distros.

Yes I agree. There is prior act from free software projects. So we don't have to worry.
I just thought we should keep it in mind. Or even help to prove this patent illegal.
