Writing Solaris Device Drivers in Java

I wonder if we should take a deeper look on the work Sun is doing with regard to Writing Solaris Device Drivers in Java. A compair of Sun's way to our way would be interesting to see.

Looking into the documentation from SUN shows that these "java" drivers are just wrappers to C written drivers, making this, as I see it, not very much usefull to JNode.

Is the LGPL and GPL with classpath exception compatible?
