beginer problems: freezes just after boot

Hello
I have just downloaded Jnode and booted it
It looks like a very interesting system and I am thinking getting involved with this project

My Problem
When it boots it seems to freeze just after I get control of the mouse
ranging between 2 seconds and 60 seconds before locking up
but this could be just me as i have only just started fiddling with it

I'll try to narrow it down and put in a bug report when I'm convinced its not me doing something wrong Smiling
(I'm using VMware server if that matters)

Any ideas
THANKS
Alex

JNode 0.2.5 Released

After nearly a year of hard work the JNode team is proud to announce the release of JNode 0.2.5, the new intermediary development version of the JNode operating system.

JNode is a free, open source Java technology based OS (Operating System) written fully in Java language (with a very small assembler nano-kernel).

This release features OpenJDK integration, Java 6 support, substantially improved consoles, experimental support for isolates and a large set of bug fixes and improvements to all parts of the system, including better memory mamagement and increased performance.

We would like to thank all contributors for their effort in making this release possible.

Prepartions for the new release

We are planning a new intermediary developper release of JNode for 27.09.2007 .
All active developers, please use the following days for testing JNode, fixing any possible regressions, fixing any issues you think will fit in and sending in your ready but unsubmitted code.

Thanks, Levente

Website Screenshots gets 403 error

Currently both logged-in and anonymous users can't view the screenshots. This isn't smart, since people who are trolling the 'net for java OS can't see what is available.

Can someone fix?
